Seafood with a scenic view of Lake Erie. This beautiful restaurant juts over the lake, affording those inside with a wonderful view. Just as pleasant a view as from The Watermark or from Hornblower's. Rich woodwork and nautical themes make the decor pleasant.
I've never had a meal here that I didn't like. They do seafood right. I highly recommend just about everything on the menu.
The service doesn't seem to quite keep up with the rest of the restaurant. The service isn't poor, it's just inexperienced. I feel that a nice restaurant should have exceptional service, too. It's just a half step behind the other aspects of this restaurant.
Fortunately, you do not have to pay an arm and a leg for the experience. The bill didn't seem higher than you'd find at your neighborhood Red Lobster, with dinner for two running $40-50 when it's all said and done.
Sid's ReviewThe restaurant itself is beautifully located over the lake with a spectacular nightime view of a classic Cleveland skyline. The food is very good, but I have had better at other area seafood restaurants. I thought the prices were fairly "pricey", and for such high prices, one would at least expect the correct dish to be delivered to the table. The dishes are brought by a server, not the original waitress who took the order. One dish was correct, the other was not even close, even though the waitress ordered the right dish (ordered Rare on the Rare side). Once the server brought out the correct 2nd dish, it was not anywhere near rare and had to be sent back. By the time it came back out, the first dish was now cold.
This visit occurred on a weeknight. There was not a crowd, but still seemed to be plenty of confusion on the part of the chef and the server. I have heard comments that this place is not what it used to be. There is tremendous potential for a fabulous restaurant if they would just iron out the logistics.
