Whitey's Burgers and Booze
Brecksville Road
(about a block south of 303)

Jim's Review

Sometimes bar food is the best. Whitey's is such a place. They simply have the best hamburgers in the area, bar none! A wonderous burger and beer joint.

I love their Czar Burger (swiss cheese, grilled onions, mushrooms, and roquefort dressing)! Each of their burgers comes with an additional plate full of stuffings and a pickle. Their homemade fires come in share-sized portions. They, too, are excellent. The reason - their food is fresh and made on the spot.

Service was harried. Believe me, this little hole-in-the-wall doesn't have a slow period. They're open at 1:00 PM Sundays, 3:30 PM Weekdays. Your checks are held for you at the bar. Simply wander up and give the bartender your table number.

Prices here were reasonable. You can bank on spending $6+ for a half-pound hamburger most places. Here, given the fixin's, I'd say their prices are $.50 - $.75 lower than the norm (for example, Red Robin). I highly recommend a trip down to Richfield for a stop at Whitey's!
