My husband and I had one of the most extraordinary dining experiences in Cleveland at Ward's Inn.
Ward's Inn is a cozy, quaint little abode with private dining rooms, replete with fireplaces and soft mood music located on the far east side in Moreland Hills (34105 Chagrin Blvd). Definitely, a must for romantic-types!
Beyond the inspiring decor, the food is absolutely splendid. The fare is standard American...with appetizers ranging from the irresistible lobster lasagna piled high on a steaming plate and fanciful grilled shrimp skewers to the fabulously prepared fresh mixed greens with wasabi to the filet mignon and seasonal wild game...the chef prepared each dish with an artistic flair that matched the respective flavor. Our only disappointment was the boring vegetables that came with the main entree; compared to the flamboyant display of the other menu items, the vegetables lacked sheer presentation value. The taste, however, like everything else at Ward's Inn was wonderful.
The wine list is absolutely incredible. This is a forgone conclusion since the highly acclaimed Western Reserve Wines is only next door. Finally, the desserts are homemade. We had the apple pie which was breathtaking! By most standards, Ward's Inn is considered "pricey", with wine, appetizers, salads, entree and dessert, a couple could easily spend $200 or more. But believe me, it is worth every single penny!
