Upon entering Stix restaurant in Chagrin Falls, one is warmly greeted by a modern art deco and colorful drawings of chefs, barbecues, and even pigs. Immediately it becomes clear that Stix is a fun, yet classy restaurant. The name Stix refers to the bars on a barbecue grill; a fitting name because that's exactly what can be found on the menu: barbecue.
One thing is certain: those who like barbecue are pleasantly fulfilled at Stix. The menu is loaded with pork ribs, beef brisket, rotisserie chicken (highly recommended), and great steaks. With any barbecued entree, your server will bring you a sampling of each of Stix's unique barbecue sauces! To top it off, the portions are titanic. (Note: do not order the onion rings appetizer for less than three people!) With a wide variety of daily specials and side orders (if you like garlic, try the garlic fries), Stix has something for everyone.
Naturally, the service is well above average. The owner of Stix has been featured in Cleveland magazine as one of the city's premier chefs, and her staff is equally industrious.
The meals could be considered expensive, but after all, Stix is a moderately classy place (don't worry; jeans and a tennis shirt will suffice). The crisp atmosphere and delicious food rank Stix among the east side's best. All in all, Stix is definitely worth a trip out to the Falls... Enjoy!
Irving WritesJust to add to Corey's review. If you like a spicy seafood dish, order the cioppino. It's a main-course soup containing fish, mussels, shrimp, scallops, served with garlic mayonnaise on the side. (Tell them to hold the crab legs.) It's as good as the best bouillabaisse in town.
