The restaurant has a very simple, but cozy decor. The Red Chimney has been a stable part of the Slavic Village area for over twenty years. Recently changing owners, the two brothers who now own the restaurant are very dedicated with satisfing their customers with great food and service.
There is a wide selection of lunch and dinner entrees on the menu as well as daily specials. Prices range from $3.25 for a cheeseburger platter, to $10.95 for a T-bone steak. Some of the daily specials feature kielbasi and sauerkraut, lamb shank, prime rib, and chicken paprikash. The restaurant features two types of homemade soups Monday through Saturday, and one on Sunday.
Service is friendly, fast, and pleasurable.
The average cost of a daily special is $5.29, which includes the choice of soup, salad, cole slaw, or applesauce, and an unlimited supply of warm rolls and butter.
Great dining at an unbelievable price.
