My husband and I stumbled across this jewel about six months ago. The Market Square Bistro (216-543-5115) is located at 16725 Chillicothe Road in Bainbridge, Ohio, nestled in an unassuming plaza on a quiet intersection. The vibe is casual, yet sophisticated, borderline trendy. It is usually crowded, so reservations are encouraged. It is an upper Manhattan style bistro/wine bar with an excellent dinner and dessert menu. The menu is by Cleveland standards, "pricey" ($15-$25 entrees are not uncommon), but well worth every penny. The items are standard American fare: filet mignon, pasta, seafood, etc. Every item is prepared to perfection, with an artistic touch. The desserts are to die for, especially the tiramisu!
Judith's ReviewMy husband and I have dined at the Market Square Bistro many times and have found the food to be creative and very flavorful. However, recently I have been a little disappointed with a few of the dishes. On one occasion, the seafood item I ordered was over cooked and quiet dry. I believe it was the halibut.
Last Sunday, I had the Lobster Fettucine entree that I have had on previous occasions and I was somewhat disappointed with it. When the restaurant first opened, this entree was excellent, however this time, the lobster was flavorless and the pasta mixed with truffle oil was equally bland. For $25.95, I expect would expect more.
