Rena's Review

While the decor is not anything to write home about, it is a sufficient setting for eating Chinese food prepared in the back kitchen steaming with delightful smells and Chinese chatter.

The food is great and there is plenty of it; dining on Friday night always provides enough for a Sunday lunch for one especially if it is Singapore Noodles. I am particularly fond of the Shrimp With Lobster Sauce with shrimp of good measure and creamy sauce over white rice just the way I like it.

Dan, the owner, is pleasant and very happy to have you as his guests. The service is friendly and appropriately timed for leisurely dining.

Christina's Review (9/14/00)

Chin's Pagoda is exquisitely decorated with oriental wallpareing, pictures, and two aquariums. I have been dining at Chin's for over 20 years, and they've kept the same wallpaper the whole time, which I think was a wise decision. To change the decor of Chin's would change the Chin's atmoshpere.

The food at Chin's is wonderful. I am a vegetarian, and they always accomodate for me. The best thing to order (if you're a vegetarian) is the vegetable chow mein combonation plate. They will substitute the pork fried rice with steamed rice, and they will also substitute the eggroll (which contains pork and shrimp) with a vegetarian eggroll. The vegetarian eggrolls are wonderful. I highly recommend them.

Service at Chin's is always very good. The servers are friendly and accomodating, and the owner of the restaurant is almost always present to ask you how your meal ws at the end of ytour visit.

Chin's Pagoda is very reasonably priced. For my mother and I to have lunch there, it's always under ten dollars, and that's including the tip! Of course, more expensive items can be purchased, but I have found that if you discover something you enjoy, it is best to stick with it!
