Clean, comfortable, spacious. Attractively decorated with Moroccan scenes and artifacts. This is one of my favorite ethnic restaurants, ranking up there with 'Stino di Napoli and Phnom Pen. Service, formerly just so-so, is now very good. The food is deliciously different and beautifully presented. Dishes are well seasoned, but not too spicy. Portions are generous, prices reasonable.
The entirely Moroccan menu offers a variety of options. My favorite is brochette of lamb or chicken over couscous. The dish includes carrots, summer squash, pumpkin and zucchini, simmered to perfection in a broth. All entrees are preceded by a delicious vegetarian harira soup and a lightly dressed Moroccan salad. Portions are large enough so that my wife and I sometimes order an extra soup and salad, and split the entree.
We have taken different friends there at various times. They all agree with us that Casablanca Cuisine represents one of the best combinations of quality and value in this area. Yet, whenever we go there, the place is almost empty. It's one of Cleveland's best kept secrets. Try it, and let me know if you agree with my review.
