The Cabin Club has a reputation for its great food and unique decor from which it's name is derived. The dining room is relatively small and they have a nice bar adjoining the dining room. The menu is basically steak and beef. Chicken, shrimp, fish of the day etc. included to round out the menu for the non-beef lovers.
The food itself was very good. The two entrees ordered were the Blackened Cajun Ribeye with the Blue Cheese sauce and a baked Grouper. The food was cooked as ordered and delicious!
The service, on the other hand, was not up to speed. Shameful at best describes my experience. Our party was told that there would be a 20 minutes what for a table. No problem, right? We went to the bar and ordered a drink and watched the Indians on the TV. Second inning at the bar. Third inning at the bar. Fourth inning at the bar. Fifth inning at the bar. The bartender inquired as to what the hostess had told us. Visibly upset at our reply he offered to intercede on our behalf. Sixth inning at the bar. The precocious hostess finally approached and offered to seat us in a small table located in the path of traffic. We decided it would be better to wait for more suitable table. An additional ten minutes passed before we sat at our table. Another wait for the server. You get the picture. No bread, the check back on the meal came 3/4 of the way through it. I did notice the bartender speaking to the manager and gesturing in our direction, however no table visit was ever made. No offer for dessert, although it didn't matter since daylight was fast approaching.
Overall, service aside, the meal was very good, yet expensive. Try them and hope for the best!
